90 Degree Shooting Academy

This Academy, coached by Denver Elite Youth Director Michael McCormack & Denver Pride Coach Bea Behrins, is for both boys & girls offensive players from classes 2030-2023 looking to improve their skills and training habits. We coach all aspects of shooting: form, step-downs, on-the-run, dodging from up top, dodging from behind, re-dodging, etc. With small groups focused on each age group, players are able to get the attention they need focused on specific areas for personal improvement.

COACH MICHAEL MCCORMACK

Michael grew up around the game his entire life, his father being the Williams College Lacrosse head coach. He was a 3 sport athlete in HS, and became the All-Time leading scorer in Massachusetts history with 611 career points. Michael then attended & graduated from Middlebury College where he was an All-Conference & All-American Selection in 2018. With extra eligibility, he then had two grad years at UVM where he was a two-time All-Conference selection, two-time All-New England selection, two-time America East champion, & was a member of the Tewaaraton watch-list in 2021. He comes with a vast youth coaching experience, and loves to share the game.

COACH BEA BEHRINS

Bea grew up in Morristown, N.J. and attended the University of Denver where she was a standout player on the Women’s Lacrosse Team. Her Honors and Awards Include: IWLCA Third Team All-America (2021, 2022)…IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region First Team (2021, 2022) … Big East Attacker of the Year (2021, 2022) … Big East First Team (2021, 2022-unanimous selection) … Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player (2022) … Big East All-Tournament Team (2019, 2022) … 2022 Team MVP … A 2022 Captain … 2022 Tewaaraton Award Watch List (2022) … Inside Lacrosse All-American Third Team (2022) … USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention … 2022 Preseason All-Big East Team … 2022 Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American (Honorable Mention). In the Denver’s DI Record Book, Behrins finished 1st in career games played (82) … 2nd in career goals (199) … 3rd in career points (258).
